DR ALAN HEADEY
Alan is the Senior Clinical Psychologist at the Mater Young Adult Health Clinic (MYAHC). He holds a Doctorate in Health Psychology from the University of Melbourne, and has been practising for 15 years. Over the past 11 years, Alan has worked closely with people with complex medical conditions, particularly Type 1 diabetes, persistent pain conditions and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He is experienced at helping people with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress and family conflict.
Alan’s training is primarily in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), but in practice you will find a common sense person who tries to appreciate the complexity of your life in a respectful way.
Alan enjoys tennis, soccer, science fiction, barracking for the mighty Hawks and hanging out with his family.
